London's annual Creative & Design Awards - aka The Music Vision
Awards - are organised by music industry trade publications Music
Week and Promo Magazine, rewarding the best in promos, sleeve design,
music DVDs, music television and so on. Since 1998, Cinefeel have
curated the programme of left-field innovative music videos from
outside the mainstream screened during the event.

THE
AUDIOVISUAL LOUNGE
Since 2001, Cinefeel and visual music label Addictive TV have run 'The Audiovisual Lounge' in both London at Below54 in Shoreditch and The Roxy, and in Paris at the Web Bar and the Tryptique. These nights are a mix of screenings, live AV performances and DJ:VJ sets, all smoothly integrated, creating a fluid, creative multi-media lounge vibe.
They have been pick-of-the-week on numerous occasions in Time Out, The Guardian Guide, London’s Evening Standard and French newspaper Liberation.

Artists who performed alongside resident AV artists Addictive
TV include Tim 'Love' Lee (Tummy Touch), Nick Luscombe (Flo-Motion), Neotropic (Ninja Tune), Exceeda, The Light Surgeons, Eclectic
Method, German artists Skanfrom and Phonem, French artists Leonard
de Leonard (Musiques Hybrides), Professor Oz (Pro-Zak) and eMovie,
artists from the USA include Mr Projectile (Merk) and Jonny Dekam (Vidvox) and from Japan VJs Glamoove & DJ TKO.
The night has also been taken to Glastonbury Festival for Greenpeace,
the Homelands chill-out tent and the Leeds int'l Film
Festival amongst others. In 2004, with British Council support,
the night went to the SAT in Montreal and to the Drama Short Film
Festival in Greece.

"A Japanese
weekend in Paris"
Screening 'Made In Japan' at Le Cube

A programme of videos focusing on Japanese artists and, in particular,
the VJ scene in Tokyo - which is one of the most progressive in
the world. The programme includes Flash animation by Devil Robots,
music videos by Satoshi Tomioka, Power Graphixx, Imai Toonz and
Delaware, short films by SSSR and other recorded work and animation
by designers-VJs Glamoove, TomoGrapher, Ukawa Naohiro, Kloma, SanFrandisco
and UNU.
Exhibition 'Go back2D' at Project101, Paris

" Goback2D" is a project from Takako Narita, gathering
eight Japanese and English illustrators, all passionate about
graphic art and cartoons. The "Tenugui" themed exhibition
featured Tak (UK/Japan), Baku (Sapporo, Japan), Pete Fowler (London,
UK), Lucy (Birmingham, UK), Matt Swell (Brighton, UK), Symbolon
(Tokyo, Japan), Chris Drury (Manchester, UK) and Imai Toonz (Tokyo,
Japan). Post gallery entertainment from DJs Breakfastisback (France)
and VJs Sanfrandisco (Japan).

Crossover
A series of mixed-media events held on the cutting edge Paris boat
venue Batofar in 1999 and 2000, mixing projections, installations,
live music, DJs and VJs. The event brought over a number of British
artists to Paris for the first time.
Over two years, artists who performed include Gus Gus DJs; halal
grooves for the new millenium from U-Cef; a Rephlex party with the
first live performance in France by Cylob and Ovuca; the first showcase
in France of the Leaf label including a live AV performance by the
Sons of Silence and the London based Sprawl Imprint; live performance
from French artists Scratch Massive, Mr Neveux (Microbe Records),
Olaf Hund (Musiques Hybrides) and DJ Ottoman. VJs who performed
included Addictive TV, Glimpse, V-CR and VJ Tekyes. |

Festival
du Film de Paris
With an initiative from Carte Noire, Le Festival du Film de Paris
in 2001 hosted a CineCafe with screenings and DJs. Cinefeel curated
all the video programming and co-ordinated the artists bookings.
'Typiquement British'
As part of this major retrospective on British cinema at the Pompidou
Centre in 2000, Cinefeel co-ordinated a series of events; screening
music driven short films and inviting multimedia artists to perform.
The event was supported by the British Council.
'Parcours d'Images' (Paris) & 'Tour d'Images' (London)
in 2000
A touring programme featuring short films, music videos, live music,
DJs and VJs in both Paris and London. Venues in Paris included Centre
Pompidou (during the Rendez-Vous Electroniques), Cite des Sciences
(during Mixmove) and Batofar, and in London, they included the Ritzy
Cinema, the ICA, Below 54 and the AKA.
Other events have included MIXMOVE from 1997 to 2000 which was the
first music convention and festival in Paris dedicated to electronic
music; "PopCore" from '95 to '97 programming bands like
Technicolor Hobo providing live soundtracks to short films and MIDEM's
"Electronic Village" screening rolling programmes of music-driven
content.

For over ten years, Cinefeel have programmed
for a number of respected arts venues, including the Pompidou Centre
in Paris and both the National Film Theatre and the Institute of
Contemporary Arts in London to non-typical locations including the
Greenpeace Café at The Glastonbury Festival and MIDEM's Electronic
Village.
